Loan Operations Specialist I

Under supervision the incumbent is responsible to accurately and efficiently complete daily operational assignments associated with loan file maintenance, loan document imaging, files and file room maintenance; and other tasks as required in support of the Credit Union's requirement for offering quality lending products and services.
Prepare, organize and file pertinent loan documents in physical loan file and/or imaging system
Work each process for collateral documents including, but not limited to, final closing statements, title policies, recorded documents, filed UCC-1 (Uniform Commercial Code) statement and insurance certificates.
Request third party reports including but not limited to flood certificates, tax service, credit reports, UCC searches, UCC continuations and UCC filings.
Release collateral holds including, but not limited to, real estate collaterals and business assets.
Process payoff demands, loan payments, payoffs and post accounting entries to general ledger accounts.
Order and maintain supplies for the Note Department.
Process daily loan notices, statements, letters, and all incoming mails including loan payments and payoff requests.
Maintain and organize the loan file room and file cabinets.
Provide members, vendors and other departments with support as needed.
Supports the Credit Union’s Mission & Vision and Lives the Tech CU Values (Accelerate, Collaborate, Innovate, & Cultivate).
Meets on a monthly basis with manager to discuss goal alignment, performance metrics, and development plans.
Adheres to Policy & Procedure put forth in employee handbook; upholds employee Code of Conduct/Ethics, and ensures confidentiality of the workplace.
The employee will comply with all rules and regulations as defined by applicable regulatory agencies. The employee will also adhere to all internal controls and security measures designed to ensure regulatory compliance with State and Federal laws.
Typically has at minimum:
Education: H.S. Diploma required plus vocational training desired. Courses in related business areas necessary to maintain position proficiency.
Experience: 6mo.-2 years’ experience in the financial services industry, either front office or back office.
Knowledge/Skills: Highly organization and detail oriented. Has solid verbal and written communications skills. Strong sales/service and team orientation.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand 50% of the day. Repetitive hand motion for 90% of time during which one is imaging files. Daily lifts files weighing up to 15 lbs.
